I've got an opportunity to buy a Line 6 AX212 for £175. I know very little about the amp except for it being an old modelling amp and that one of my favourite bands (Kalmah) recorded their first 3 albums using one.
I'd be playing a lot of melodic death metal on it and my current gear set up is:
- B.C. Rich NT Jr. V (with a Seymour Duncan Blackout ABH-1 in the bridge position)
- Electro-Harmonix Metal Muff with Top Boost
- Marshall MG15DFX
Obviously, I want to upgrade the amp! I don't have a great deal of money and I want something that can handle a live show but also be quiet enough to practice with in a student flat (going to University in September).
So, what do you guys think? Is this a good deal/would it suit my purposes? Any experiences with this amp?
Speed is a by-product of shut the fuck up.
