Alright dudes, here's the deal. I'm looking for the right guitar effects processor for me but I need help. Currently, I'm playing through a Carvin MTS tube head and a Peavey XXX Cab. I'm very happy with the tone, so obviously I don't need/want any cheesy modulated overdrives/distortions that most processors have. But I also would like to have tons of effects to mess with without having to buy a mountain of stomp boxes. Are there any effects processors out there that only have effects but no overdrives/distortions? Or are there any that do have OD/Distortions, but can easily be run through the effects loop with the OD/Distortion cut off (without sucking my tone of course)? Any advice/recommendations would be awesome. Thanks guys

I have the Vox Tonelab ST, and it does have a lot of effects. The distortion can be turned off and you can use just the effects. If I'm not mistaken it has 12 different effects you can use. It's a fairly nice pedal.

Is it just me or are there a lot of threads about multiFX lately?

Yes I know...And I am responsible for more than half of them...

On any decent MFX you can turn off amp simulation and distortion and stuff.

I'd +1 on the Line6 ones and add the Boss GT-10 to the list (a friend has one and it's freakin' awesome what you can make it do).

awesome, thanks. i checked out the line 6, nova, and vox tonelab.
I'm really liking the tonelab, it's pretty affordable too

Yeah, but it isn't nearly as good as Line 6's Ms or the Nova System.

Boss GT-10 or digitech RP355 are good

IMHO, the Digitech RP355 is a cheap-@$& piece of junk.

The Boss GT-10 is nice, but the Line 6 M13 is (arguably) better, for the same price.
The TC Electronic Nova System is even better, but is also more expensive.
