Hey, does anybody know of any effects pedals that can be used to create a celtic/folk sound, that you'd find in traditional folk music or folk metal?
Cheers

maybe try something like a pog. i remember when i tried one a while ago i was able to get a decent 12 string sound. im thinking that with a capo high on the neck and the octave up stuff you could probably get an ok imitation of something like a mandolin. havent tried it myself, but if any stores near you have a pog its something you could try out.

Reverb is nice. The POG works really well to do a 12-string or organ-type sound.

A classical guitar is a must for folk/celtic stuff as well, IMO.
