So im thinking about buying this amp and my band mostly plays all kind of metal and i know for this amp could handle it but im also gonna be using this amp for school for jazz band. will i be able to get a good jazz sound from this amp?

The 6505 heads have been known to be able to produce a great jazz sound, however, i tried out the combo and it sounded a little fuzzy to me, may have just been my settings though. I hear the bugera clone of it (the 6260 or 6262) can do a pretty good jazz sound too.

I'd have to agree. The Peavey is known to have all the gain in the world but quite frankly it isn't very practical if your planning on trying to dial a good jazz tone into it.
