Hey, I was just at band practice and my distortion pedal is in the shop getting work done so I have to use my lead channel on my Peavey Valve King 212 and I thought i would try the effects loop out and i put my 7 band dod eq in the effects loop, oh this is pretty sweet, my tone has alot more gain to it, i unplug it to see the difference and there is like 1/2 the gain as the lead channel has ussually on its own, and it is insanely quiet. I have no idea what I did to it. Cause my clean is totally fine. Help me?

My 212 suddenly started doing this as well. I took it back and abused them for selling me such an unreliable amp, and took home a 6505+ instead.

Sounds like your V2 preamp tube is borked.

I'd recommend putting just a jack in the first input and plugging your guitar in the second input too, makes the sound alot more punchy (aka the dummy jack trick).
