Hello, I just bought my new guitar and needed help.

I was trying to just go straight onto the TABS section and play my favorite songs by David Choi's but I find it of course difficult.

I want to start my guitar playing off with Chords, what would be the first step?

I know I should start off by practicing and remembering my basic chords then go on, but anything else that would help me speed my process of learning? I kind of don't have the money for lessons, so I would like to try on my own.

Thanks for the help everybody!

Thanks bro. Do you guys think its better to learn how to pluck rather then strum.

Man, i would STRONGLY advise you to take lessons, especially when getting started. Learning would go so much easier and faster if you could find a teacher, but if not, i guess check out some of those online guitar courses and stuff, but if you can, lessons would be the way to go.
