I am a beginner/intermediate player.

I just upgraded my Epiphone Les Paul Standard to a Epiphone LP Custom and I am looking to upgrade my amp. I have a couple small practice amps (all within $100-200 range) but I'm looking for something to make more (read: better) noise.

I mostly play rock (all sorts of styles), blues, punk and ska.

I am looking for something in the $500-700 range.

I appreciate any recommendations! Thanks!

Perhaps a JCM 900 or 800. I forget which one but one of them is suppoused to be a fantastic punk amp.
