My Friend's Uncle's MG100FX?
Pros : Second hand from a reliable source
Second hand is Cheaper.
Great Condition
Marshall Cab included.

Price? Unknown yet, but good I imagine.

I play metal/metalcore I suppose.
Pantera A7X metallica Trivium bullet black sabbath Jimi bla bla

I was goin to get a peavey 6505, after trying at the store it was great.

Would you accept this as a budget amp? Since it's probably around 1k BP cheaper? lol.

Gonna check up reviews myself, and wanted advice also.

Edit : We all know the MGs reputation and acclaim.
So are they all that bad?

Further edit: Saw his uncle's band play live with a couple others.
Seemed alright blasting.

Moar Edit:
I use a Vox AD30VT.
and the tone is actually nice, well, once I've put a Boss Super Overdrive pedal over the amp then it sounds pretty sweet.
On playing the Paul Gilbert signature at the guitar store extensively, my missus sighed:
"Put it down now, It's like you love that guitar more than me!"
In Which I replied.
"Well it has got two F-Holes!"

NO. Save your money and buy the 6505 down the road. The MG will just end up being a waste of time and money that could have been spent earning money for the 6505.

If you can't hear the difference between a 6505 and an MG, it simply means you haven't been playing for a while. Develop your ear more, then go gear shopping.

Oh, I can certainly tell the difference lol.
Peavey is amazing, It's my dream amp, but it's expensive.
The MG is good wattage and I was imagining with the right pedals could sound nice.
And very cheap too.

It won't sound nice with pedals and it is not 'good wattage'. It's more than you'll ever need.

Don't get it. You'll thank us later.

If you want a half-stack because it looks c00l, please grow up.

Oh no.
I'm playing with my Friend.
He's a gearhead..
But I was looking to gig and I'm skint.
With the loan of a PA system we need one other big amp.
But I guess you're right. I'll play the 30watt till we can get a decent sound.

Anything else.
Such as?
examples of good-sounding amps in the same price range?

Your uncle owns one. Why not try it and tell us if it's any good. Most of the people replying probably never used one.
