I just bought a new Dean Blacktooth Dime Amp Head(I don't wanna know what your opinions on him or the abuse of his name are). Does anyone have any idea what cab would go well this head? Preferably around 200-400 USD.

2x12 avatar contemporary is equivalent to what i use. i'd get a K-100 and a V30, a K-100 and a Lead 80 or a couple of K-100's.

^yes, it is good for the cabinet's wattage rating to meet or exceed the wattage output of the amplifier you will be using.

@TS, a general rule, (A)the closer to the cab and head's power ratings match then the more responsive the cabinet will be to the head (ie: 50 watt head, 50 watt cabinet). (B)while the higher power handling the cabinet the more flat the speaker response will be (ie: 50 watt head, 200 watt cabinet). in condition A you are also able to 'round' the speaker, meaning you run the speaker near the limits of it's design operational parameters, this stresses the speaker in a unique way that is favorable for some applications.
