Hey guys, i just bought a yamaha guitar with the peg button screwed out, probably to feed in a wire for an acoustic pickup. Will the hole affect the sound negatively?

Should i replace the button or just leave it, thanks.

One of my acoustics has all sorts of holes, cracks and cigarette burns in it, still sounds fine.
