Does anybody know of some ways to stop the binding of my strings with the nut, I know graphite is supposed to work, but how exactly would I go about doing that? Grinding up pencil led and rubbing it in the nut? Any help is appreciated.

If you are white, you are scum.
grinding pencil it he solution i have read about

i dont know what its like to have strings that bind, but ijust take a pencil and just draw on the strings(would strings grind the graphite off the pencil tip) and just draw a little longer on the unwound ones
i also run the graphite a few times over the nut slots with no pressure(to avoid altering nut slots)

you can give that a try gl
No need to even grind it. Just take a SHARP pencil and rub the point lightly in the slots.
