I am currently looking to buy another guitar. There are two which are looking interesting.

The first is a Schecter C-1 Classic.

The second is a 1983 Ibanez Destroyer X series.

It has two Dimarzios in it. One is a paf, the other is a super distortion. Both are new. Has a tremolo arm and is basswood.

The schecter is around 400 and has a broken imput. Should cost about 20 dollars to fix.

The ibanez is 565 but doesn't have anything broken.

Currently have an epiphone special 2 and a ds-1 distortion pedal. Looking for early eddie van halen brown sound.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Both are Very good guitars, I would usually go for the C-1 but those specs on the Ibanez sound too awesome to pass on
No ego-inflating quotes nor stupidly long signatures to be found here.

Move along.

Thanks everyone for the responses. It's good to hear that my initial choice is the one which you chose. It just seemed like an 80's guitar would be a better choice by default.

Also, it's nice to know that they're both good guitars. It's hard to find real details on good mid-range guitars.
