I am helping with re -wiring a friends squier tele. He bought a brand new gretsch humbucker pickup for the next position and the bridge pickup is a standard single coil. Now the fun part:
We decided to use the two new pots he received to run the pickups with individual volume knobs, no tone knob, and no pickup switch.

On plugging it into an amp, we are getting a good signal out of the neck (humbucker) but mostly buzz out of the bridge (single coil)

Is this a grounding issue? If so, what is the best way to ground this bad boy?
If not, what else could the problem be? We are newbs. Any help is awesome.

tl;dr - just read it.

LØ Edit :: The question I should be asking, is where should the circuit be grounded?
Who's funny enough to be in my sig?

Remember to use the hardest point in your body to inflict maximum damage. For most people it's your elbow, for me it's the penis.
