hey all,

i have started playing about 2 weeks ago and i have some questions;

first i have noticed that when i play for sometime in a row my wrist begins to hurt. i dont know if this is normal and u just have to get used to is or maybe that its a wrong in my technique.
that brings me to my second Q: do i really need to take lessons to learn the right way of playing, or can i just teach myself?
and then my final Q:p
do u know good excersis to begin with? or any good songs to learn?

i hope to get some reactions

greetings from the netherlands

You CAN teach yourself. You just gotta make sure you avoid developing bad habits. It's a lot more difficult.
Only play what you hear. If you don’t hear anything, don’t play anything.

Well if you're only been playing for two weeks, your wrist would hurt anyway. But you can teach yourself. Basically the 'right way of playing' is mostly the way your fingers move(eliminating any unnecessary movement, is about it.) there are exercises that burn the right finger positions into your muscle memory. Go pick up a guitar book. the best one I've had is called 'ultimate guitar techniques'.
