Good day UG

I have an old guitar kicking around, actually the first guitar i got about 10 years ago, an old Yamaha Pacifica

I want to do some work on it, turn it into a half decent guitar. Looking for suggestions.

I have money so thats not a problem

Or is it even worth spending time on?

Let me know what you think!!

I really like the looks of that guitar.

I can see somedefinite potential in it.

What are the main problems you have with it?

Probably the pickups, ive heard theyre a bit weak sounding, maybe do a rewire with good pots, switches get a new nut to improve tuning stability, maybe locking tuners. Also if you dont use the trem maybe consider blocking it off, might do something for the tone and improve tuning. Theose seemto be the most common upgrades
