Hello everyone... I'm just a beginner guitarist, but I would like to impress this girl that I have been getting friendly with. She wants to sing "Tacoma" by Neko Case at an open mike night, and I would like to be the one to accompany her, before she finds a better guitar player.

This song is very simple, and I should probably be able to figure it out, but I use this site for everything, and therefore have not developed an ear for this...

Here's 2 links to the song on youtube:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Yeah man hes right that's the only three chords in the whole song, folk is pretty easy to figure out. After you play the chords you should be able to determine what goes where.

Actually the entre thing is G-C-G-D and sometimes that D is only played half as long and then switched back to G.
It's easiest to figure out by listening to the bass

you can't use a guitar to replace your lack of charm or social skills.

Worked for Malmsteen.

That makes so much sense - listening to the bass!! Thanks so much, for the help and the bass tip, next time I won't have to ask for help so quickly!

I sincerely hope one day you look back at this post and realize how ignorant you're being about the concept of getting high.

Out of those choices, I'm going to go with the Bastrapple.
