So pit, recently an issue arose at my old Jr. High. A student was seen by the prinicpal taking voyguer pictures of his fellow classmates. Prinicpal walks up to student, student pushes the principal. What does the prinicpal do?

Choke slams the little bastard to the ground.

Anywho, this has basicly caused a shitstorm around the city. Personly I believe the prinicpal is in the right. Choke slam by a ex-millitary principal or get thrown to the ground/tasered by the police?

Could provide some interesting debate.

Teachers slam students all the time during fights.

Why can't they do it when the kids are taking explicit pics of others and pushes the principal when confronted?

I like the forward-moonwalk kid who tried to push the big guy. He really did his part.

Edit: Seems like the principal made contact with the kid first, which is probably what's going to get him done. Other than that he just seemed to restrain the kid and drag him away.

It's more or less a moral position, or ethical, whichever..People think it's wrong.

I don't. Mainly because you're right. Why shouldn't they be able, the principal was clearly attacked first, and that kid is a low-life anyways.

All school aged children should be choke slammed atleast once a week, to teach them obedience.

Looks like he was restraining him to me?

Why did the kid struggle so much? The guy was just holding onto him and that was hardly a "slam"

but i can see why people are going mad over it.

Dirty Perv kid got what he deserved, if he hadnt have fought back the guy would have let go, as he didnt, he was restrained.

look legit to me.

to the principal.

The video shows him using force to restrain him and nothing more.

a well judged amount of force used in my opinion.

Our Dean of Students broke up a fight by grabbing one of the kids by the neck and slamming him against a door. It was badass. Personally, I don't think he's in the wrong.

I'm on the teachers side. You gotta teach respect somehow and the cops weren't there, so who knows what could of happened. You think if he said, "You're gunna sit in my office right now!" that he would of complied? Yeah right.

wait, he was caught taking "voyeur" pictures in a big hall like that?
how exactly does that work?

And I personally don't see why the principle should be wrong for doing this, he didn't hurt the kid or anything, and the kid was obviously being violent towards the principle and struggling against being taken to the office.

Also, I wouldn't class the principles behaviour as "violence" in any way, since it was obviously not meant to harm the kid, but rather to contain the kid's violence and get him to a place where he could be dealt with by the proper authorities.

voyeur
Main Entry: voy·eur
Pronunciation: \vwä-ˈyər, vȯi-ˈər\
Function: noun
Etymology: French, literally, one who sees, from Middle French, from voir to see, from Latin vidēre — more at wit
Date: 1900

1 : one obtaining sexual gratification from observing unsuspecting individuals who are partly undressed, naked, or engaged in sexual acts; broadly : one who habitually seeks sexual stimulation by visual means
2 : a prying observer who is usually seeking the sordid or the scandalous

second one seems to fit.

doesn't really matter that the pictures aren't overtly sexual.

how so?

we see a principal attempt to block the student's path. the principal is then pushed and then he uses a reasonable amount of force to restrain him.

can't see the problem myself.

Principals and teachers have to deal with a ridiculous amount of shit from kids with bad attitudes. If this sort of thing was more commonplace then the smartarse little bastards might think twice before disrespecting their authority figures. I'm not saying they should be able to beat the crap out of belligerent students but if physical restraint is needed then they should be allowed to act accordingly.

When the OP said the student pushed him, I assumed I'd see some angry, violent teenager not some little kid trying to get past a guy.

I remember fights at school getting broken up like this all the time, though the scenario is wildly different.
#24
The more I watch this the more it seems the principal is going to get fucked.
He cornered the kid - fine
Kid knew he was screwed and tried to squeeze through and the principal stopped him with his arm - fine
Kid pushes back, as most would do, and the principal pushes him into what I think is a corner - a bit dodgey, but he could get away with it
As the kid is moving backwards into the corner, THEN the teacher grabs the kid and slams him down - this seems to be the climax. The kid wasn't actively assaulting or trying to run away too much, and the guy slammed him. If anything, that's what'll get called out as excessive.
After that the principal just drags the kid - don't see a problem there really.

I'm all for little shits getting what they deserve, but that guy is going to face serious trouble.

he does it slyly right in front of the principal at about 6 seconds in.

where he changes direction suddenly for no reason then seconds later walks back the other way.

or at least that's what I'd guess.

Also he held on to neck for quite a while. If he was restraining he'd have wrapped his arms around his back and pushed on those, thus not damaging a soft area.

the only time I see him holding the kid's neck is when he's on the ground.

after that he has him in a half nelson.

The student taking pictures is not no the video unfourtunatly. That info comes from, my brother who witnessed it, and the news reports and whatnot. And the principal was not punished at all in retrospect. He cannot be at that school anymore however, obviously. He also lost his job for the last month of school but he will be returning to another school in September.

There would've been damage no matter what. The kid was fighting back. He was restraining him because it's kind of difficult to manage a perfectly coordinated neck hold when the kid's struggling.

I guess you have a point with not damaging a soft area, of course. But, as stated above, it's not exactly easy.

I read in the youtube comments (take this with a grain of salt lol) that the kid got a concussion from the restraint. To me that would be an indicator for an unreasonable amount of force.

I'm not too knowledgable on the principal's legal rights in this situation so I'll just throw that "fact" in to the mix and lurk.

#38
Pfft, in my opinion, we need more people like these. I mean, once we get all of these people removed, we're left with the dumbasses that think they can stop the little brats like that kid with talking. "Erm, hey kid, stop that, yeah, erm, stop." What does he do? He just walks away and ignores them.

And then they wonder why no one behaves in school.

100% to the principle.
#39
1000% support for the principal. I will die before I live in a world where little ****ing brats can get away with ridiculous shit just because the authority figures cannot physically engage them.

I absolutely believe teachers should still be allowed to use physical means to discipline the little bastards. Principals used to give the cane all the time, it worked great. All of a sudden we stop using it, and kids think they can go push the ****in' principal around! bring the cane back, I say.
