So ive been playing a couple years with no teacher and the only way ive gotten as good as i am is from learning cover songs. But this I really wanna learn proper technique and know what to do to practice. I really dont know what to do. I just recently got a metronome but i dont really know how to use it. I started just practicing my alternate picking using diffrent finger positions and going up and down all the strings. But i would like a dvd or a book that has everything you need to get better as far as technique and physical skill as well as teaching scales and music theory and stuff like that. One that teaches chords as well as technical stuff too. any recommendations?
