so if i make a neck thru guitar with a TOM, what do i need to do to get the angle for the TOM right? recessing doesnt make sense, so what do i do?

recessing doesnt make sense? how so? it does the exact same thing as angling the neck would. basically you have a triangle, the 3 points are the nut(A), the top of the saddles(B) and the point where the fretboard would meet the bridge if it went on that far(C). if you angle the neck, you decrease the distance between B and C. If you recess the bridge, you do the same. either way works and imo on a neck thru, recessing would be easier by miles.

EDIT:
paint representation
Douglas Spad with EMG 81x's
Epiphone LP jr. with EMG 89 split coil, alot of upgrades
Rig:
Power conditioner, Hush, ART Quadra/FX Reverb (all 3 in a rack), Peavey XXX, 2 Mesa 4x12 cabs.

k got it, i thought that recessing would cause a decrease in the angle between the bridge/nut etc. thus creating less string tension. huh, thanks though
