Hi
I own an ibanez gio (I know its a noob guitar) and the volume e knob has become incredibly loose. How is this fixed? I am a noob at guitar repairs.

I have the same guitar and the same problem. I think there is a bolt you can tighten under the knob. Not too sure though

pull the plastic knob off, undernear should be a hex nut (about 10mm). just tighten that up and push the knob back on, no need to open up the back of the guitar or anything

Ibanez S670FM
Ibanez Masa SX60
Roland Cube 60
CryBaby GCB 95
Ibanez GSR180 Bass

It´s an 11 mm nut.

depending on the batch if Ibanez use different suppliers, nuts may vary in size. I have replaced pots with at least 4 different size securing nuts. Just a small tip although as mentioned there is no need to take apart...once your knob is removed turn shaft fully back (Lowest volume position) hold with a pair of pliers while you tighten the nut otherwise it can twist the pot below and break connections.
