I know the voltage has to be the same and i know the type of current (AC and DC) but what's the rule with mA? I wasn't sure if they had to be the same, or if the adapter had to have a higher mA than the pedal?

Thanks

You forgot polarity... that's the kicker in deciding if the adapter will kill your pedal or not, instantly.

Don't forget regulated vs unregulated, filtered vs unfiltered.

Transformer based, vs switching based.

Higher MA is good, but not safe for unregulated adapters..

Welcome to electronics.

PedalPower II Plus:
http://www.voodoolab.com/pedalpower_2.htm

Outputs 1-4 all 9v 100mA outs
Outputs 5 and 6 both 9v 250mA outs
Outputs 7 and 8 9v 100mA outs with SAG control to lower the voltage.

Outputs 1-6 can be set to 9v DC, or 12v DC using a DIP switch.
Outputs 7 and 8 can have SAG active, or off (Solid 9v then) using a DIP switch.

The other one to look at is the Fuel Tank.

I have the PedalPower II Plus, so I know more about it.

You can order any cable to make 18v's , or 24v's...

They are handy, and go great with the PedalTrain.

Each pedal will use a different amount of current, shown in mA.
You might want to look up what each of your pedals use.

Example on my board:
Power Usage:
PolyTune 45-50 mA
TWA's 'Little Dipper' Voodoo Lab Parallel cable to make a 9v 500mA supply.
Visual Sound Open Road 11-17mA
Fulltone OCD Voodoo Lab Serial cable to make 18v
Red Witch 'Empress Chorus' Vibrato - I once wrote them, got the number, and it was tiny. 10mA or less is the way I remember it...
Ibanez 'DE7 Delay / Echo' 78 mA
HardWire RV-7 Reverb 75 mA
BBE Boosta Grande 3 mA

PedalPower II Plus outputs:
1 - Polytune and using PolyTunes power out, also power the Open Road.
2 & 3 - Using the Voodoo Lab Serial cable, make 18v for the OCD.
4 - Using the VooDoo Lab adapter, power the Red Witch, and the Boosta Grande
5 & 6 - Using the Voodoo Lab Parallel cable, make a 9v 500mA supply for the Little Dipper.
7 - Ibanez 'DE7 Delay / Echo'
8 - HardWire RV-7 Reverb

If you haven't seen the Voodoo Lab adapter, that lets you run 2 pedals from 1 out, here it is... The other one makes 18v for my OCD,
