Autumn Morning

The sun is up but I can't see it
For the sky is as thick as clouds
The trees shiver in the wind
As the frost sits upon the grass

I walk through this autumn morning
Expecting rain to fall heavily down
And this dim morning sunlight
Was born of no sunrise today

So now the night continues on into the day
And grey is the only way to see it
For even the singing birds
Seem to feel the melancholy of today

Cursed

Set on the table
Is Pandora's Surprise

Inside the corpse of
a man who never dies

You claw
you scrape
you clutch your way through

Pulling pulling pulling
until you catch

the sound of a dead man
when hes left awake

My curse this shall be this
box you'll not take

An Irish Industrial Estate

Lost horsemen walk down the old road,
Fathers and sons just do what they're told,
The priests and the madmen just stare at the sun,
The mothers of milkmaids are still on the run.

And I walk through the maze of old grey buildings,
Find the fields once found are fading,
Pass the suits with men in their shoes,
Briefcase with a life in it a tie for a noose.

And I just walk,
Just walk,
Nothing you can do but walk.

And the clouds blow like grey ash on the wind,
Bus stops lost and broken,
People smile for politeness sake,
Poets rhyme as they try and create.

And the sun shines as hard as it can,
The cars crash as fast as they can,
The wind blows does all that it can,
Birds sing till they get band.

And I just walk,
Just walk,
Nothing you can do but walk.

And the women watch as rainbows turn grey,
Colour is just light that escapes,
The poets try to read you something written recently,
Gets lost, blows in the wind and gets stuck in steel trees.

And you turn up your music so you can't hear the wind,
Ipods, Isouls and other such things,
Black suits, black roads and black decisions,
Turns life into a TV vision.

And I just walk,
Just walk,
Nothing you can do but walk.

And are they all as real as each other?
Can eyes that dull hold a soul that's troubled?
Do they know the other is there,
Walk to other places, towards other wheres.

And I just walk,
We all just walk,
Nothing you can do but walk.

Dream of Me

You...
Stayed, up...
Every night...
Just to talk to me...

So lay down,
Your weary head.
Sleep now,
Tuck yourself into bed.

And dream of me,
Just dream of me.
When you close your eyes,
The first thing I want you to see, is me.
Cause when I go to bed,
The first thing in my head.
Is the image of the most,
Beautiful girl I know, that's you.

So lay, your weary, head down.
Sleep now, in the peaceful sound.
Nothing will touch you, as you sleep.
I'm your guardian angel baby.

So dream of me,
Just dream of me.
When you close your eyes,
The first thing I want you to see, is me.
Cause when I go to bed,
The first thing in my head.
Is the image of the most,
Beautiful girl I know, that's you.

Take me, away from this place.
I want to run away.
I want to spend the rest of my days,
With you. Ooo...
Take me away from this place.
I want to run away.
I want to spend the rest of my days,
With you, with you, with you...

So dream of me,
Just dream of me.
When you close your eyes,
The first thing I want you to see, is me.
Cause when I go to bed,
The first thing in my head.
Is the image of the most,
Beautiful girl I know, that's you.

cheers for organising this cubs!

Personally I really liked the green and purple poems, especially the green one.
So come on in
it ain't no sin
take off your skin
and dance around in your bones

I very much like the idea of the green poem, but in some places it's choppy and not executed too well imho. Such as:

"And the sun shines as hard as it can,
The cars crash as fast as they can,
The wind blows does all that it can,
Birds sing till they get band."

and:

"The poets try to read you something written recently,
Gets lost, blows in the wind and gets stuck in steel trees."

Other than that it's a very good poem and the message is conveyed very nicely
