What's the best(simplest) way to get a 5-way rotary tone selection into toggle switches? I have a PRS with the 5-way and really like the selection, but I don't know much about switches and stuff. I'm having a guitar built for me and would like the same tone options as my PRS, but in switch form. What would that be called? How many switches would it be?

P.S. I don't want a 5-way switch.

Im not familiar with the 5 way rotary switch but by using a combination of toggle switches and push pull pots you could have coil taps, in and out of phase, series/parallel, anything basically.

What tone options specifically are you after?

P.S. You may be better off asking in the wiring thread

The positions I am looking for are:
1. Treble pickup
2. Outside coils- deep and clear - parallel
3. Series single coils – Warm version of the "in between the treble and middle pickups"
4. Parallel single coils – Crisp version of the "in between the treble and middle pickups"
5. Bass pickup

The whole reason they even used a rotary switch is to avoid the huge amount of toggles that you'd have to have. those toggles would also have lots of poles, which will get very expensive.
