would it be hard to mod a strat to have 2 input jacks and a 3 way selector so i could easily plug into 2 amps from the guitar and switch either both, one, or the other one?

thanks, ( i know there are the A/B/Y pedals, i just think this would be cool and fairly easy)

Well have you really done any soldering/guitar modding before?

No I'm not Jesus. I would aspire to be though. I think under circumstances he would let you pay less if you needed to.

You'd have some serious signal degradation without buffering the signal.

You would have to essentially put an A/B/Y pedal inside the guitar.

Well, it can be done, you would just have to make the circuit yourself to make it fit in the small area, route an area for the circuit and battery if there's not enough room, and wire it up.

hm.. i didnt think that a battery would be involved, wouldn't work just as well like a lightswitch type thing you kno? were its passive and one switch will complete the circut?

You need an active circuit to buffer it for splitting between two amps, so yes, a battery would be involved. You can do it passively, but there will be some serious signal loss.

It's really up to you. I think you had better read up on electronics and such before you make a decision or attempt anything. I'm not giving step-by-step instructions because it's something you should be able to figure out on your own if you have the knowledge required to make it work. Just read up on electronics, google some schematics, practice, try to miniaturize a circuit to fit in the guitar or just build/buy a stompbox.
