Well, I'm not the most tech savvy guy around but my computer has worked fine most of the time...until now. Its running Windows XP and recently whenever i try to turn it on, it pretty much stops loading at "Windows is starting up..." I've tried running the last known configuration that worked but it had no effect. I'm nearing the end of my rope, so I'm asking the most technologically capable members of the pit to help me out. Thanks

I get the feeling this was sarcastic, so to remove any effort you would have had to do to find a computer forum:www.ultimate-computer.com/startupproblems

Actually, that was a serious answer

Curse you sarcasm and your ability to conceal yourself in text form! But yes you'll get some great helpful answers on a computer tech form.

Press "ctrl+alt+del" twice. Should work. Should give you a menu, then click "cancel".

computer thread.

also, it seems like a software issue. one of your core windows files is corrupt. the easiest way to fix it is by re-installing windows.

otherwise, it may be your hard drive that's ****ed up.
