#1
I see the skies of blue and grasses green,
Orange sunset evenings.
Butterflies fly while birds, they sing;
The people all around are conversating.

I wonder what's happening to me.
Is it naturally intoxicating?
I'm getting a blast of what is around;
Pick the moment right and relax as I sit down.

Take a picture and hang it on the wall,
just remember it before it's gone.
Once again I settle off to sleep
And hope today, I'll see it in my dreams.

Because everything is better than they seem;
the simple things in life are hard to see.
Come along and have a memory,
The simple things in life are there to be.

The skies of blue now fade away,
To moon shines in memory of day.
The birds and people and butterflies now lay to sleep
And so do I, we all have another dream.

I now know what's happening to me,
It is naturally intoxicating.
I'm getting a blast of what is around;
Pick the moment right and relax as I sit down.

Take a picture and hang it on the wall,
just remember it before it's gone.
Once again I settle off to sleep
And hope today, I'll see it in my dreams.

But what if i don't see what I saw today in my dream?
I hope that never happens.
Well whatever does,
I'll see it when I'm awake.

Because everything is better than they seem;
the simple things in life are hard to see.
Come along and have a memory,
The simple things in life are there to be.
