You didn't do the one I wanted to know about, a P-Rail (at the neck). That's what you had in a PRS wasn't it?

I don't remember if I sold that or not. I'll look for it tomorrow and I'll stick it in a guitar and I'll update.

Don't forget to wire up a switch so you can get the P90 and the SC rail separately as well as together as a humbucker.
Thanks

Cath I apparently sold the P-rails already. However, I do have a demo of them in my youtube from when I was even worst at playing guitar....
But I can answer any questions about the p-rails you want.

AcousticMirror, I am so tired of seeing all the cheap shit that you buy on these boards. Its absolutely pathetic the type of ABSOLUTE GARBAGE you buy and try to pass off as good gear.

Well simply, do they do what they claim they do?
ie, does the P90 sound like a P90?
Is the rail any good? ie does it sound like a good rail or is it thin and brittle??
Is it PAF-like run as a hb?
Output levels?
It's for a guitar used for everything from Dylan to Sabbath (but not heavier), versatility is the key. It has a sc in the middle and two sc's at the bridge - covered with switches. Hence why the p-rail is inviting.

The p-rails are interesting. If you need versatility I think they'd fit the bill. They don't sound 100 percent of the way like a single coil and a p90. The p90 sounds closer to a p90. The rail sounds single coil-ish but doesn't really sound like a true single coil. The humbucker has an interesting sound though since it's made of 2 different coils.

I think they were alright. Jack of all trades master of none type of thing. The output is listed at 18k and 14k but because of the way the pickup is made it's actually a bit weaker then that. I think it would work fine for what you need it to do. Although if you prefer say a better rail sound and a better hb sound and no p90 sound there are other options I believe.
