Hi!

So im getting back into guitar after a very long break (about 3-4 years) and i need to buy a new amp.
Im pretty interesed in a roland cube....but what one?
Im edging towards the micro cube because i will only be playing in my room and around friends houses.

opinions please

I gotta say, the micro cube is the shit dude. I don't own one but two of my neighbours do, and they're wicked little things.

Very solid on-board effects, very light, they last ages from a set of batteries, and they go LOUD for a tiny little amp.
Marshall amplifiers are the truest purveyors of rock and roll known to man.

"And give a man an amplifier and a synthesizer, and he doesn't become whoever, you know. He doesn't become us."

Holy crap, check this out!

And the 15x has bigger speaker, less effects (only 4 distortion types) and mains only. Very tough built and should last for ages. Probably has better cleans than the micro, if that's important to you.
I pick up my guitar and play
Just like Yesterday

T C Ellis Series 2 LP w/Skatterbrane Quiescence pups
Cort EVL-K6
Yamaha RGX211 modded
H&S Electric 12-string
Shaftsbury Ricki 4001
'84 Fender Yale
Roland Cube 15x

I go with what DaveMc always says: Go for the Micro-cube or the Cube30. Skip the 15 and 20 (even though I've got one) if you're buying it for the bells and whistles.

Micro cube will be great!
Ibanez AF105VB
Ibanez RG2550Z
MIM '92 Fender Strat
Peavey Triumph 60
MXR-108.
and that's it. done buying stuff. probably.

And if you wanna go to the top end, skip the Cube 60 and go for the Cube 80x. Can use both delay and reverb together.

(caveat: unless you're in some situation where you need the extra volume and can't stretch to the 30x. but in that case you could probably check out a vox valvetronix or peavey vypyr (i've only tried the valvetronix)).
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
