Hey guys I need a quick answer here. Im ordering a Shure PG57 mic today and I need a XLR-1/4 cable so I can use it with my Line 6 GX to record. The porblem is, I dont know if I need a male XLR or a female XLR connector on the cable. Can anybody tell me what I need? Im sure this is a really simple question but im a microphone noob.

BTW, is the Shure PG57 a good choice for instruments and vocals? Im assuming it is since its modeled after the SM57.
