How can i connect my AC30CCH to a mixing desk without using the cab?

can i go straight from the head (out of the speaker output) to the desk? or bybass through a DI? this is for recording.

Use a load box with a line out into a DI box into the input of the console.

Basically an attenuator that attenuates all the way. You could use one of these at the max setting w/ the line out into a DI. https://taweber.powweb.com/weber/lpld.htm

A cab sim in there somewhere would sound way better as well. One of these is everything you need in one box but pricy. http://www.palmergear.com/pga04.shtml

Yes, you need a load box with a line out. Otherwise you'll ruin the amp and the console.

While you can use a load box to DI your amp to a mixer IMO for any useable tone you should mic your amp+cab. Failing that look into a pod and cab simulator
