What is your favorite metal riffs or solos or any musical composition in songs.

Put the name of the band and the song and then discuss which part of the song you like the most. The person that posts after you must write an opinion about that song as well but must also post a different song and discuss that one as well. I am sure there are some albums that are mediocre but have a few songs that have amazing compositions in them. You must have some discussion in your post...don't just post a song without any discussion and discussing the post above is highly recommended.
When posting your song only post ONE song that way the person below you doesn't have three or four songs to have an opinion about.
example:

Cannibal Corpse - Death Walking Terror

The opening riff to this song is killer.

It's alright, i way prefer the riff that comes right after. The straight up note riffs need to sound more evil to be interesting to me.Just seems kind of run of the mill, the album needs a better production job in general. Cut all that treble in half. The solo was ok, but needs more feel. The vocals good use some more variation in phrasing as well.

2:47, most crushing, headbangible riff ever. The vocals are just putrid.

Edit: I take it were ignoring the two posts above me?

Yup. Replace "the option of writing" with "to write" in the first post, and we might get some discussions going. If people can read that is...

Tornado Of Souls is pretty tasty, Megadeth.
other current favourites:
Carcass - Embodiment
Killing Joke - Blood On Your Hands
Arch Enemy - Burning Angel

That Cryptopsy riff is legendary,so melodic and awesome at the same time. Lord Worms vocals really accent the intelligent brutal brutal sound they were always famous for.

Nihilis-Morbid Devourment intro riff. Sounds like a chainsaw tearing through zombies in slow mo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mMxyWUZG_s

Riff, that Autopsy riff is pretty awesome. Very very heavy...

I love the intro riff of Phobophile, paired with the ripping gutturals.

Great riffs throughout the song, but I always felt it could do without the piano; especially with the following bassline.

The kingdom of heaven is within

Crystal Mountain- Death
Annihilation of the Wicked- Nile
Inno A Satana- Emperor

There are so many great riffs to choose from but if I were to narrow it down to three I think that would be it.

ummm, i started with Iron Maiden actually.........thats my roots. And i listen to a hell lot more then Death Metal. Allot of non metal bands as well. I like Exhorder, and their pretty groove metal at times. But they also aren't redundant as shit and annoying to me.

That song is pretty meh, one of necro's worst imo.The only great material by them was the demo stuff anyways.

Well allot of it depends on my mood. But thats definately one of the best! That album in general just is unbelievable. Progressive but still consistent in quality and vision.

That Utumno song is amazing btw.I love how melodic but totally bad ass it still manages to be. Such an original atmosphere and techy but tastefull mmmmmmm.
