I want a guitar that will stay in tune, has great pickups, and an attractive look. Thanks.

We need more info.

Bridge style?
Number of frets?
What kinda music do you play?
What amp do you play through?
What's "attractive" to you? BC Rich Warlock? Ibanez RG? PRS Custom 24?
We're not psychic.

Helpful.

I Play LITERALLY Everything (Rock, To Blues Etc. ),

A bit vague. A good SSS strat will do just about anything until you get to metal. Likewise, get me a good strat sound from anything with a humbucker in this pricerange. Specific artists/genres?

A Peavey Vypyr,

Helpful.

Attractive as in cool paint finish

Still vague. What's attractive, pink sparkle, sunburst, candy apple red, etc., etc.?

I like metal too, like I said, I play LITERALLY everything, from Avenged Sevenfold, to Green Day, all the way to Red Hot Chili Peppers. And a cool paint finish too me would be either a dark red finish, or an intricate design like sunburst, or even a graphic design.

I say I play everything too. However I do not play Jazz-Fusion, because, as I don't have a surname you could probably easily misspell, I would likely embarass myself for trying. "everything" is as vague as "nothing".

Anyway, most of what's in that range will be a disappointment. Any chance you could save a bit more?

Ooooh, that looks awesome, do you know if the pickups are hot enough for versatlity?

Yeah that guitar is great for the money. Even if you dont like it you can send it back, no questions asked.

look at the washburn idol range. they've got 2 humbuckers, so you can do heavier stuff, rock etc, but also both humbuckers have VCC (coil splits) so you can get single coil tones also. fixed bridge, 22 frets, great range of colours, bursts and inlays.

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Dean-Dave-Mustaine-VMNTX-United-Abomination-Electric-Guitar?sku=520088 i own this guitar and it plays metal great and rock and punk pretty good ,but I never really played blues or other styles so idk about that but cool finish and 24 frets Hope i helped

Personally, I would stay away from the VMNTX. Don't get me wrong, Dave Mustaine is possibly my favorite guitars, and the VMNT series is just sex, but I wouldn't recommend, it for punk, blues, and RHCP stuff.
Try looking at these:

Agree with the other guy, i have a VMNTX and its my best starter level axe, but again, its not for your genre i suggest an Agile, if you dig the less paul then consider that AL-3000

Yet another +1 for the Squire Classic Vibe series They're surprisingly well made in terms of finish and fretwork, and the tele in particular sounds like the real deal rather than a cheap knockoff. They can be purchased for $349 online.

an agile 3000 will fit the bill perfectly, or if you can find a epi les paul on ebay for around that price (which isn't uncommon).

epihpones, some form of cheap superstrat, a guitar you custom mod yourself.

i recently saw kramer selling asian guitars for 300-400 bucks. might be worth a look. not usre if you know about kramer, but they had a good rep in the 80s and they came back, or course they werent asian...but just sayin

some good 300-350 guitars are the Ibanez rg2ex1 (or rg3exfm1 which is fancier version) and Ibanez rg321mh. Ibanez are some of the best in this price range. Also the cheap Jackson dinkys, kellys, warriors, etc. are good.

Vintage VS6.

http://www.musicstore.com/en_EN/EUR/Guitars/SG-models/Vintage-VS6-Cherry/art-GIT0018610-000

I own one (left-handed model, the LVS6) and I absolutly adore it.
Before buying my guitar I spent literally a month looking over reviews of all types of guitars, and I think that a SG copy such as this would be a great idea for you too.
It's mainly rock guitar. Although I think it can handle heavy well, and it's extremely versatile.
Also love the Wilkinson hardware (including Pick-ups), I was also a bit sceptical about them since they aren't really a common name. Although when you look into the name of who's making them and then hear them, you'll be astounded.

I tried at the store two other Vintage models, their Les Paul copy (V100) and the Strat copy (V6), and in order I'd put the VS6 in front, then the V6, and amazingly the V100 at last place.

PS: It's quite cheap, and don't look for google images, since they do justice to the finish of this guitar. Look up at this, it's the closest you can get: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSNjm8bMIpo

another +1 for the Squier Tele. Some are (read: Mine is) better made than most Made in Mexican Models. A little work and you have a wonderful guitar, ready for anything.
