Well, just a little while ago I found out my girlfriend's pregnant...can't say I didn't see it coming, honestly. Any of you pit-monkeys going through/have gone through this before and could give me some advice? It'll probably be put to good use in the coming years and even though I'm fairly sure of what I'm supposed to do, I could use all the help I can get because even though I might think I know what's coming I probably have no idea

I assume that she's keeping it, then?

That's a huge burden, and I wish you the best of luck. I'd give advice, but I'd be just as clueless in such a situation.

EDIT: It's yours, right?

You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door.

be responsible.

period.

You are responsible for this new life, and you need to act accordingly.
It isn't the end of the world, and it won't ruin your life, but you WILL have to grow up very quickly once this kid is born. You are no longer only responsibel for yourself, but for you child as well.

Think about it.

Yes, I know that crappy joke makes very little sense, but I laughed at it.

Anyway, what was that thread where the guy said his gf was pregnant, and he basically said he was leaving? Any linkage? Well don't be like him.

Nah dude, he'll be 30 when he becomes a grandparent. A great grandparent at 45. If anything, this would be perfect timing.

You should probably tell them as soon as possible so they can help you prepare for the joy of fatherhood...

Please just don't be an ass to your girl after you have this kid. I hear child support's a bitch to pay.

Then by the time he's 80 and losing his memory he'll probably have about 40 lineal descendant's birthdays to remember.

Perfect timing...

15? Holy shit. Thats really bad mate. I got my ex-girlfriend pregnant a year and a half ago. I was 17 back then...luckily she had a miscarraige but yeah, I was shitting myself as well. Cried a whole heap too.

don't worry about them getting mad at you, you have a woman and an unborn child to take care of now, you need all the help you can get.

Believe me, you'll need their help.

TS, tell your parents and her parents IMMEDIATELY.
You have a shit ton to do to prepare for parenthood.

Also, please try to explain to your girlfriend that she is too damn young, and that you guys should heavily read into adoption, because parenting it yourself could prove to be irresponsible.

On the plus side, you now know how babby is formed.

Once I read your age my jaw just dropped. DISAPPOINTMENT. Well now that I got that negativity out of the way congrats, and be a good dad. You seem pretty positive about this, keep that way of thinking.....and GOOD LUCK.
