Hey UG,

After close to a year of use the switch on my Whammy pedal got messed up. The shaft of the switch is now slightly bent and it sometimes gets stuck when I push it down.

From the looks of it it's just a regular momentary switch. I was wondering if I could replace it myself since I have some basic soldering skills. The only challenge I see is taking the pedal apart since there aren't any standard screws on it at first glance.

So would I be able to fix it myself or should I take the pedal to a tech ?

you should be able to do it your self, just remember to go slow when opening it up and try not to force anything and you should be fine.
