This is a dark ballad... Intended to not be "about suicide", but rather about the hopeless emotions one can feel immediately after (or while) one has been (or is being) decieved by someone they loved... Wrote as a metal ballad with fewer lyrics, and extended guitar solo following first chorus building to a repeat of the chorus...

Fading... (My Suicide Note):

>> song starts with only slow guitar and sound of rain & thunder <<
-- Verse 1 --
Should i slit my wrists tonight
And let it all bleed out
Crimson red upon these sheets
My silent screams now shout

>> drum comes in followed by bass guitar and a slightly increased tempo <<
Incense burns and there's rain outside
Your favorite kind of night
But your with him and sure as hell not here
I don't even have the strength to fight

-- Chorus --
Because my life...
My life is fading
Fading away from here........
My life...
It's not worth saving
Baby without you here

So if you wanna know
The things I never showed
Ohh baby...
I made you...

This suicide note...
(Whoa Ohhh Ohh Oh Oh Ohh...)
This suicide note...
(Whoa Ohhh Ohh Oh Oh Ohh...)
My suicide note...

>> extended guitar solo builing gradually to reapeat of chorus <<

-- Chours --
My life...
My life is fading
Fading away from here........
My life...
It's not worth saving
Baby without you here

So if you wanna know
The things I never showed
Ohh baby...
I made you...

This suicide note...
(Whoa Ohhh Ohh Oh Oh Ohh...)
This suicide note...
(Whoa Ohhh Ohh Oh Oh Ohh...)
My suicide note...

-- Verse 2 - completing as music fades with sound of rain and thunder adding back in <<
Should I slit my wrists tonight
And let it all bleed out
The rain slowly continues to fall
It seems the candlelight's burnt out
Fade to black...

Sorry but it looks quite cheesy to me. The whole rain and thunder thing, slitting the wrists, life fading to black, it's been used over and over and over again. So, more of a corny ballad than a dark ballad, at least for me. Sorry for being harsh but it's really pretty generic.

Sounds reeeaaaaalllly melodramatic. I know this is metal and lyrics have been pretty weak in this genre overall(my opinion). But I would look outside for some inspiration. Read Leonard Cohen or any of the greats who write hours on this topic. Keep making music man. This is only opinion and I am not a songwriter myself blablablabla.
