i had to change the pots out of my strat copy...they were 500k...i got 250k...either way..
i wired them into the guitar...now...the volume doesn't shut off...
faulty pot or have i not ground something properly?

Volume, not tone.

Either way you need to math back up to the correct 500k pot for volume.

yea...lug one is grounded - but not to the body...i just connected all the grounds to that one lug...

middle lug heads off to the output jack

and third lug takes the input from the switch and is jumpered to the tone pot

it was...i'll have to check again...but if something wasn't grounded...especially at the jack...i shouldn't be gettin any sound at all...shouldn't i?

i think the pot may be faulty...
