What's the difference and which one is better?

Also, why are they ditching the metal chrome plate on the front of the Dual Rectifier, that looks awesome, yet the new one with the black front looks lame to me anyway.

Triple rectos are slightly louder. Otherwise they sound more or less alike.

I see that the triple is cheaper than the dual, I thought it would've been more expensive.

They overhauled the Dual Recto in the last couple of months, I guess that's where the different looks come from. I also suspect that might be the cause of the odd pricing, though I had heard they intended to keep the price the same as before.

How much was actually changed in the amp I don't know. :/

The real question is why the **** are you talking to your mom about a Mesa? What the hell did you think she was going to say?"No dear, I prefer Dual Rec tone?!"

Why are you so concerned with that damn metal plate?

An amp is meant to be heard, not looked at.

If a pile of shit sounded good, I would plug my guitar into it.

They're not ditching the diamond plate. If the Dual you're looking at doesn't have the diamond plate and is higher than the Triple, you must be looking at the Dual Rectifier Road King. It a completely different series of amps.

I have heard the Triple is just too loud and you can't really crank it, not even if you play an extremely big gig.

some say the old two channel dual rec is the rectifier sound and is a better amp than the 3 channel dual rec or the trip rec

only get the dual or trip rec if you plan on playing live

the single rec is a great amp too

Why only get it if you going to play it live? Is it because it is too loud?

I'm getting one and i play live but mostly i'm with my band and home play.

THE rectifier sound is the Tremoverb. The others are but pale imitations

Three rectifiers > Two rectifiers. Basic math people, the Triple Recto is simply one more than the Dual.
