I'm really good with the "Software" side of computers, but I am unfamiliar with the hardware side. If I could get some help building this computer it would be appreciated.

CASE: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16811103011

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727

FAN: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16835426023

and that's about all I know with hardware. I really don't know if somethings are "compatible" with each other.

GRAPHICS/VIDEO CARD: something really nice

RAM: 6 or 8gb but is all RAM compatible with all motherboards?

PSU: How will I know how much power I will need.

CASE/CPU/FAN: all of your links don't work for me

Graphics: I really like XFX personally. They are high quality factory over-clocked cards. I've owned two and loved both. (In case you are wondering, you can still OC them more, just they come faster than the standard NVIDIA/RADEON.)

Ram: I have to say I think 6GB is more than enough

Power: well that depends on components, and since your links don't work for me I can't say, but as long as you beat the video card requirements you should be alright. I have a coursair PS and I'm very happy with it.

Here is a better question: What are you looking to run with this PC?

Also, check out tomshardware.com, its a very good site.
Ok try agian please.

Thanks for tryin to help, I REEEEEEEEEEALY appreciate it.
Here's a power supply calculator

Make sure, when you're choosing a motherboard, that it says "socket am3" in the specs if you're getting that processor. Here is the newegg page for AMD motherboards.

The motherboard will say whether it takes DDR2 or DDR3 memory and what speed.

Video card is personal preference, and you didn't really say how high end you wanted to go. I prefer ATI, but Nvidia has good stuff too.

EDIT: If you have a local computer shop, it'd probably be worth it to go and talk to them about what you want to build and get their recommendations/suggestions.
maybe if you had a
suck less
