Ive been using the Berklee book for my studies in Jazz IMPROVISATION though I needed something more specific and have stumbled across this supposedly Jazz Bible (Jazz Theory Book - Mark Levine) Its like 540 pages..

I'm about to start though if anybody has had any experiance or know better Jazz IMPROV method books please comment

A better Jazz improv book? Yes... Jerry Bergonzi's improvisation series. Makes you think... a lot.

I'm just a jock... so thinking isn't my forte... hence I'm stil on book 1, song 1
the jazz theory book is supposed to be great--alot of college theory courses keep it as their main text.
