Pretty awesome stuff. Quality is not the best but what can you expect? It has two of the members from Portal, and the creepiness factor is still there, just in a more straightforward setting

Inexorable Blashphemies is probably my favorite song from them

Absolutely insane stuff.A bit less of a mind**** then Portal but they have an old school sense of brutality added in that makes it a whole different(but equall) horrifying experience.

To be honest I like them more than Portal, their more grounded, more song and a little less atmosphere....

Funny that this thread shows up while I'm in the middle of listening to the album.

Hmm thats not too bad then.Maybe after i get my next amp i'll get one. What are the lowest strings usually tuned to?

Yes, F#BEADGBe, once you have that many any who tune lower generally either tune a half-step down (To Bb standard with a low F and preserved higher range) or drop E (EBEADGBe)

Meshuggah's Spasm is in 8 string half-step down tuning, then down a fourth to C# (3 whole tones at this point) and then with the lowest string dropped to Bb

Well its good to see that guitar makers are finally catching up to Mortician after all these years haha.I would just do what i do with my six string if i had an eight,it would be like D# F Bb Eb Ab Db F Bb or something like that haha, who needs high notes anyways?

Lowest string would be a C if you're going down 3 whole steps. At that low I would actually recommend using a bass cabinet as opposed to guitar because the open low C would be the same thing as a first fret B string on bass.
#27
that does make sense,an of course the bass accompanying it would have to be an 8 string tuned 3 steps down as well

Nope... C# is basically lowest and even then if you have truly massive speakers like 21", in fact I think the C# fundamental is actually below the limit of human hearing (20Hz)

bumping because band is ridiculously awesome
