I'm just recently starting to play guitar, and i had a question.
On most tab sheets, they have the little fingerings for chords which are only on three strings (http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/t/taylor_swift/love_story_crd.htm) ..on some they have the same note but using all the strings (http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/t/taylor_swift/love_story_ver3_tab.htm).
How do you play the ones that are only on three strings? such as this: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/t/taylor_swift/love_story_crd.htm

Because they don't turn out to be the same notes? :/
Sorry if it's confusing, but thank you everyone!
