I've decided on getting a schecter hellraiser for my 2nd electric guitar, it's like AU 400 dollars cheaper to get it off proguitarshop.com and get it shipped here than it is to buy from my local shop in Australia. If anyone has any experience with these sort of online stores could they please help me out? I'm not sure whether the guitar will be set up nicely or not.

also check out American Music Supply, good deals but they seem to have everything in stock that musician's friend doesn't and they even have a payment plan (over about 3-5 months) if you're looking for a little bit of help financially...

edit: doesn't ship to Aus, sorry man...

If they ship to Australia it's illegal because bastard Australian customs have a hug tax strangle on music equipment. That's why all Australian guitars and and amps seem to have a 100% mark-up from he American stuff

Sorry I just live in Australia and customs really **** me off sometimes.

Yeah you're pretty much out of luck. Most guitars that cost $300 here cost $700 over there. Pretty bad considering China, South Korea, Indonesia and Japan are a lot closer to Australia than the US.

Yeah I just checked an Australian dealers website. AU$1,274 here, AU$881 shipped from America.
