So I've got pretty much all the major mainstream metal, hard rock and prog stuff, but I'm going out for new musics and I need a list of killer albums to look out for.

I'm sure The Pit is collectively more diverse than my taste in music, so have at it! Post your suggestions here.

Genre doesn't matter, just as long as the songs are well thought-out and executed.

Cheers.

Go out and buy every Coltrane album. I'll go out on a limb and say he was one of the best musicians ever.

Open your mind and listen to this album:

Caught In The Act Of Not Being Awesome by Johnny Hobo and The Freight Trains.

It's got some really powerful stuff on it about the hardships he's faced being homeless, addicted to drugs, rejected by everyone, and alone his entire life.

You may have a hard time finding it but the whole thing is on Youtube. It rules.
Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens.

When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.
