Hi all!

Was playing just now and my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe lost all power and won't turn back on. Ontop of that, the powerboard it was plugged into won't power anything else (my heater was no longer powered either.) I'm guessing there was a surge, or I've overloaded the powerboard and now I've blown something in the amp.

I'm guessing its a fuse, and here comes the embarrassing question: How do I take the fuse out to look at it? I've taken the fuse cap off, but I can't get the fuse out?

This is a serious issue, as I have a new PRS SE Custom arriving at some point this week, and my band have booked some studio time for the weekend and I need my amp for it.

So, how do I get the fuse out to check it?

Thanks

Bicko.

If the plug isn't powering other devices anymore than you've blown a fuse in your circuit breaker, not the amp. Go downstairs (presumably) and find the breaker that coincides with that socket and reset it...

Basically, what tubetime said. Sounds like you tripped the breaker for that outlet. Find your breaker box and look for a tripped switch. Then reset that switch and you should be good to go. Make sure that any devices connected to that outlet are turned off when you reset the breaker, and I'd recommend playing your amp on a different outlet as you're likely to be drawing too much current (why it tripped) with everything connected to the one that tripped.

But I've tried the amp on a different power source and it still didn't turn on?

Err, it should be attached to the cap, no?

Thats what I thought! But I take the cap out and the fuse is still inside the socket (for lack of a better term?)

Wait, i got it out finally! The fuse looks fine. What should I be looking for with the fuse, just so I know I haven't missed something.
