Before I opened this I was thinking about the Cube. I have one and love it. there are so many things it can do ranging from acoustic setting to giving the guitar a phaser effect. mine has a clean and lead setting. the lead setting you can add more or less gain depending on how you like your sound and it has a tuner. the only thing I dont like is that the tuner just has lights, it doesn't tell you what note you are hitting and I can never get it to say its in tune even when I know it is. Other than that I think it's great for a lower budget amp.

It depends on how seriouse you are about the metal. A vox valvstate is a good cheapish amp that can handle all sorts of styels from blues to metal. Peavy vyper is probably a little better at the metal but it's cleans are not as good. Both of these amps are solid state but the vox does have a valve in it that warms up your tone a bit which is why it's cleaner tone is, in my opinion, better.

If I were in your shoes I'd go used and try and find a good laney amp. Their AC 30 has a wonderful classic rock, blues, and country tone. It doesn't however have much gain so you would have to rely on pedals but luckily it takes pedals very well. Laney also has a whole range of moderately high gain 50 watt amps that others could tell you more about than I could. You would have to go used for these but they are a lot better than the new SS amps that are in your price range.

a blackstar ht-20. has nice cleans and distortion. and a 20 watt tube amp is way louder than a 30 watt solit state amp.

if u will mainly be playing rock/metal, a guitar with humbuckers will be better. maybe get a new guitar and an amp? an Ibanez rg321 and a peavey vypyr 30.

Stay far away from the spider III amps.

I say peavey vypyr 30 is your best bet.

Some line 6 products are good but the solid state spider amps are pretty horrible. If you were thinking of a pedal or one of their other amps it may be good but their are others here that have more exposure to the line 6 amps than what I've had.

take the pickguard off and look at what the routing in the body is. if there's room for a humbucker in there at the bridge position, you'd just need a new pickguard (and obviously to solder the pickup in). assuming you like the guitar.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

see if ur squier is routed for a humbucker. if it's not, u can put a single coil sized humbucker, like a seymour duncan hot rail.

dont get a line 6 spider III or IV amp. they suck. get the peavey vypyr 30.

you can get a Vypyr 75 for $289 and a free Sanpera I pedal through the end of this month.

i would buy a Vypyr 60 over all the other Vypyrs though. Personally. It's $450.

?????

How much costs a sampera I or II pedal
