I can input vocals fine on this crap microphone. And until recently, guitar recorded like a charm too. But today, everytime I record the guitar (and only the guitar) it sounds muted and almost like a wah wah pedal. Eventually it fades to nothing, especially if I play very loudly.

Any help?

what are you plugging your mic into? or are you plugging your guitar straight into something? basicly, what is your setup? need more information...

This has something to do with the electricity flow. I have had this happen before and I would suggest completely unplugging your equipment / turn off and surge protectors and the reconnect and repower them. That solved my issue. It may also require rearranging what's connected to what power supply as something may be interfering with the signal.

Guh, I've been incredibly stupid. I've just realised that noise suppression is on... so my sound is getting muted because my computer is reading it as "noise" and not sound.

I'm an idiot
