Hey got a couple of guitars with floyd trems now so im wondering what cool tricks do you guys know for them apart from the obvious divebombs and flutters? Any thing cool sounding or just plain wierd. Anything at all to do with the trem.
Remember to tell us what it sounds like and how you make the sound

turn the bar so its pointing away from the body and shake it rapidly while doing hamme-ons and pull-offs. It does a cool heavy vibrato.
Also, take the bar off and use it as a slide.

Or hit harmonics and then dive bomb with your fretting hand, or throw the guitar into the air with the bar

Just start playing with it - in places where you would do a fill or whatever, try to do something with the floyd. Initially you'll just get out of tune crap, but if you stick with it you will eventually learn to do cool stuff just by experimentation.

Scoop into the notes... Listen to Steve vai's for the love of god... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okLDkcexiVg from 1min 20 in... its where you start will the bar dived before you strike the note then raise the bar to bring the note to normal pitch

Here's an even better example of that technique:
