hello everyone,
my band is called sabbatarian, we are based in dubai (United Arab Emirates, a small country in the middle east), we are a power/heavy metal band, our main influences are iced earth, firewind and megadeth

i am going to post links for our midi files, not in the mood to upload the guitar pro files, just import the midi to your guitar pro, check them and tell us what you guys think

haha that was quick, we have been trying to record for a while now, but we failed at that miserably, due to the fact that we have shitty equipment and not being able to afford anything else, everything in here is very expensive
anyways thanks alot

Well, I expected something like a Power Metal version of Orphaned Land, but that was it. There is middle eastern influence in it, but I think adding more middle eastern stuff would make it a lot cooler.

Still, really liked it

by add more middle eastern stuff, do you mean adding middle eastern instruments, or just middle eastern scales,
because to be honest i am not a big fan of middle eastern music in general, we are not trying to be "that middle eastern power metal band". yes of course we have middle easternish music but thats not our main focus atm. should it be??

edit: i am a total n00b when it comes to this forum, can anyone tell me how to add stuff to my sig, also how to add an avatar

I ment scales, though instruments would be a nice addition too :P
I agree that being categorized as "that middle eastern power metal band" isn't such a good thing, but I still think it can be rearlly cool, combining power metal and oriental metal. If you don't like middle eastern music and you don't want it in your music than don't force it, that would just come out terrible.

to change the sig you need to go to the control panel (upper left part of the forum) and there in the Settings & Options you can edit whatever you like.

sufferthorn: pretty good. reminds me more of prog rock like an endless sporadic.
kinda drags on, but im sure it would be that way if it had lyrics.
the solo was okay, but seemed a little rough, like it could be
smoother, but thats just because of guitar pro. measure 112 was completely
out of place thats all i can say. after that the solo kinda went downhill. overall
the song was pretty solid, drums kinda got hectic at the end, but it has potential.
6.5/10

p.s. i redid some of my song, so if you would re-crit it i would gladly crit another of your songs.
