I'm looking at getting a pedal to boost my mesa and tighten the bottom end up. The TS-9 is the standard for this use. How does the TS-7 compare? I noticed that it had a switch for the TS-9 "mode". The TS-7 is only $40, so if this one is comparable then I'll buy it instead the the TS-9. Any input would be appreciated.
Marshall amplifiers are the truest purveyors of rock and roll known to man.

"And give a man an amplifier and a synthesizer, and he doesn't become whoever, you know. He doesn't become us."

Holy crap, check this out!
They both have an almost identical circuit, the tonal difference comes from the quality of the components used. If you're only using it as a boost the TS-7 will suit you fine.
