So what do you all think the greatest rivalry in sports is.

I think it is the Maple Leafs-Canadiens because it represents a regional, cultural and language rivalry, It is also a microcosm of the federal condition of Canada.

so what do you all think.

I got my sister pregnant once. Yeah, that was awkward, but mostly because she's 6 years younger than me.

I did not see the poll, but my top one would probably be Ali vs Frazier - it had racism, contrasting styles, both having at least 1 victory and many more things which made it a great rivalry.

England vs Germany.

Too bad Germany isn't that great... but on the other hand, England sucks terribly. Always has sucked terribly. And will suck terribly. Forever.

Also, the refs today vs everybody.

The Germans are more about bashing Italy.

Well in football when Michigan actually has a good team. Screw you rich rod.
May the Schwartz be with us! 2012

Q: OK, so do you care about the labels — nastiest, edgiest team in the NFL?

Jim Schwartz: It's better than the alternative — meekest, least aggressive, softest team in the NFL.

Another good one here. If we think of US college sports there are almost as many rivalries as there are teams.

Yea, but this is the only one that gets exclusive national coverage even though both teams aren't that good.

Although while we're on college sports, lafayette vs lehigh is the oldest running rivalry in american sports. I guess that deserves a mention.

Any team playing my friend's rugby team. He gets real serious. It's pretty scary cos he looks like a sort of small guy but he has so much power.
